Example of activity

Recycling activity: caterpillar roll toilet paper.

Materials: 
toilet paper tube, hand paint, eyes stickers and cardboards of colours.
Description:
If you want to do something with the kids about animals colours and nature you can use this idea. You can also work on recycling, because you use toilet paper tube, which are made of cardboard. It's a funny way to recycle and learn. First you ask your kids that bring to class some toilet paper tube, them they decorate however they want with diferent colours of hand paint and put the eyes stickers on the first tube or where they want. Finally they will paste the tubes on cardboard with leaf form. AND YOU GET A BEAUTIFUL CATERPILLAR!

Halloween craft: Cotton ball ghost
Materials:
Cotton or hand paint, cardboard, chalk, buttons, glue and paint brushes.
Description:
With this activity the children will work about Halloween, we can also work about fear.
Firstly, the kids draw their ghosts in the cardboard with the chalk however their want. When they finish the draw, they take their paint brushes and apply the glue on the ghost to paste the cotton in the cardboard. Finally they put the buttons on the cotton and they have  terrible ghosts!
Other posibility is use hand-paint if the children don't want to touch the cotton.

Activity: Winter Tree Snowflakes Numbers

Basic skills:
  Colors, square shape, numbers, counting, scissor cutting skills, hand and eye coordination [match and paste]
 
  1. Identify colors > the tree is green, the snowflakes are white.
  2. Identify snowflake numbers and count from 1 to 10.
  3. Identify the snowflakes are inside a square shape.
  4. Cut out the snowflake squares.
  5. Match and paste the snowflake number to numbers in the tree.
Crafty idea:Make a Winter Snowing Scene or a Decoration

Materials
 :1 piece of blue construction paper, white paper or cotton balls. Optional : snowflake stickers or winter animal stickers, glue, scissors.
  • Cut loosely around the tree template.
  • Paste cotton balls or batting on the lower edge of the blue construction paper or cut a piece of paper of white paper and paste to lower edge.
  • Paste tree to blue construction paper over the "snow".
  • Paste large silver sequins or snowflake stickers in the blue background for falling snow.
  • Paste winter animal stickers or snowman next to the tree.
  • Decoration : Cut out the tree.  Add string or ribbon to make an ornament.

The colours (group activity)












Materials: pencils.
                 cardboards poster of colours.
                 boxes of shoes.

Description: The children will have a box of shoes, a cardboard poster of one color and one pencil. The children will put the cardboard poster on the box shoes. When the teacher says one colour, the child who has that colour will give a blow with the pencil to the box of shoes.

Birds


Materials:
Acrylic paint, brush, white cardboard, moving eyes , orange marker and glue.

Description:
The children will paint his hand with acrylic paint of the color of their choice. Then, they will shall lay hands on the white cardboard to make their mark. 
When the paint has dried, they can draw with marker orange the legs and beak of the bird. 
Finally, they should glue the moving eyes.

Make a Straw Skeleton



Make a Straw Skeleton Activity

What You Need:

-White chalk

-Glue

-Scissors

-Straws plastic

-Cardboar poster black 

What You Do:

Cut the straws into several pieces to make the bones of the skeleton.

After creating the skeleton, gluing each straw in the same way that your, wiht glue , always with help from you.

Then draw the skeleton heas whit white chalk.


5. Miriam Aguado

 Magics Butterflies

 


Materials: 
Toilet paper tubes, paper, finger paints, scissors and glue 

Description:

You give them a roll of paper and the paint as they want, then they give color butterfly wings and cut it . 
Once all colored wings, antennas and body butterfly sticks . Finally  draw the face and the eyes of the butterfly 

Other possibilities is to other animals with toilet paper tubes for example a centipede , a snake or a worm.

Popcorn Picture

Materials
  • Popped popcorn
  • Glue stick or white glue
  • Construction paper
  • Brown paper bag (optional)
  • Tempera paint powder (optional)
Description:


  • Rub the glue stick on a piece of construction paper or spread white glue with a brush.
  • Stick popped popcorn onto the construction paper to make a collage.
  • For a winter scene, use plain white popcorn.
  • For spring blossoms, shake the popcorn in a brown paper bag with powdered tempera paint, then glue the popcorn onto a flower shape cut from construction paper.
  • For variety, try using Cheerios or puffed rice cereal instead.

    7. Alicia Reyes

     Colored Pasta Jewellery

    Material that you need: 
    - Uncooked hollow pasta (eg. macaroni)
    -Ziplock bags
    -Food colouring
    -Hand sanitiser
    -Paper towe 

    How we did it:

    The first place your uncooked pasta into a ziploc bag.  Put a few squirts of hand sanitiser into the bag.
    Re-open the bag and pour a few drops of food colouring into the ziploc bag. 
    Zip up the bag and shake until the food colouring has mixed evenly through the pasta. The pasta is extracted and places in towels in order that it dries off. The following step is to be putting the pasta in the thread and when it has been ended to close the necklace with zeal. Finally you have a wonderful necklace of macaroni.

    8. Adrián Erriquez 
    Turtle "Tambourine" - take a pair of paper plates, handful of beans, lentils, rice or macaroni, stapler, green construction paper, markers and scissors.
    Cut turtle leg shapes and a head shape  from green construction paper. Allow child to decorate bottom of both paper plates; the will be the shell of the turtle. Place paper plates together, decorated sides out, insides together to form "tambourine". Staple together inserting legs as appropriate. Leave the neck area unstapled. Place handful of beans/lentils/rice/macaroni in to turtle body and staple the rest of the paper plates together, inserting neck and head where appropriate.  
    Let's play some animal music!!!!!

    What You Need: Plastic plate, hand painting, thread and glue tag.

    What You Do:

    First, they will take his plate of plastic. Later with hand painting they will decorate the plate freely. They will use different colors. Beside, they will decorate with sponges or their hands
    When they finish, they will put their sun in a window. It's important use glue tag and thread.
    The children will learn a basic solar sistem.
    Activity for 1-2 year old.

    Ghost


    Materials
    • scrissor
    • toilet paper
    • toilet cardboard
    • paint brush
    • black and white watercolor
    • cord
    • glue

    1. Draw the toilet cardboard with the white color. After with the black colour doing the eyes and the mouth of the ghost.

    .
    2. Catch two piece of toilet paper about 25 cm and cut them do bands.

     3. Put glue in the pencil and stick the toilet paper in to the toilet cardboard.

    4. At the end glue two band in the top of the ghost.
